Another batch of Wii U rumors on Thursday report that Wii U will feature voice chat and an E3 2012 reveal of the next game from Retro Studios. This supposed information comes from a "trusted" insider that has revealed details about Wii U in the past that turned out to be true. According to the source, Wii U units at E3 2011 didn't use optical drives for games, and instead used the SD card slot and USB port. Games running on Wii U at this year's show will be running on the system's proprietary optical drive. The insider also claims that Nintendo is going to release a "Nintendo branded" HDMI cable, as well as redesigns of the Wii Zapper and Classic Controller. Voice chat is also said to be up and running, although it is unknown whether this will be via headset or a microphone built in to the tablet controller. Finally, the most exciting part to this rumor is that Retro Studios is working on a Wii U game that has been described as "massive." We're hoping it's The Legend of Zelda. |
