TWW Master Quest?
« on: August 20, 2007, 09:41:41 AM »

This is pretty old news but one of the directors of TWW said that he wanted to do a remake of TWW for the Wii, and that it could be a Master Quest type thing. This hasn't been confirmed that it will be done, but it would be cool.

Your thoughts?

Wasn't it Miyamoto the one who stated this? And I think he also mentioned Mario Sunshine when listing possible Wiimakes.

IMO, it would be cool to play, since the controls would be similar to the ones from TP and those are good. Also, the Tingle Tuner could be updated to work with the DS, and also the GBA as in the original WW.

I dunno I think the guy's name started with an E. But anyway yeah the controls would be killer if it were remade for the Wii. I also think that they should give it TP type graphics to change the mood of the game. That might be a good experience.

I may be mistaken but I thought I saw some other quote saying that cel-shaded graphics would remain on the portable systems... and that one of the directors of TWW did say that they wanted a Wiimake... but then there's conflict XD

An expansion on TWW sounds nice... very nice... XD

I think it was when Wii's remote was announced, some developers thought of doing Wii-makes... which included Resident Evil 4, The Wind Waker, and Mario Sunshine.

Just Zelda also did a big thing about it. I really hope that they do remake it though.

Well I just had this amazing thought that Nintendo might make a non-cel shaded version of The Wind Waker for Wii. It would indeed be a Wiimake, however it would conquer the most annoying popularity problems with that type of graphics.

I believe the guy who said he'd love to see it is the main 'director' of the Zelda games, I can't remember his first name, Mr.Aounuma or something like that. I'd love to see a Wind Waker Master Quest. The original was a bit too easy really and revamped (boy I love that word) difficulty and all (maybe add those two dungeons removed and replaced with that idiotic search for Triforce shards) would make it just that much better a game than before. I'd love to see it someday, I'd buy it in a flash...maybe...it is my second favourite of the series >.>
