LOL Yet another thing Chozun introduced me into, that was a good movie but I found the ending to be terrible.

The novel's ending was sooo much better. The novel was better in general. Death Note is one of few anime shows that's better than their source material.

it's supposed to. it makes you question your morality. are you on the side of the protaganist, who is a mass murderer, or the antagonist, who is actually trying to protect the lives of others? it really defines the whole "evil is a point of view" outlook.

*shivers* Same here. The book is scarier than the movie, I saw/read both.

Anyway back on topic, Zeypher, did you actualy see any of Deathnote, or are you just saying that? And huzzah for the people who watch dubbed, final episode came out a couple days ago.
Kinda gay, wasn't it?

I tried out dub, and the voices weren't serious at all, and Lights was just pure gay. It didn't have the feeling of seriousness. Sub is better on most things, I've decided now. I'd love to read manga too, but I don't really want to pay, when I could see it in moving colors for free

i think my brother would agree with you, he goes to the manga section of the bookstore and reads the manga for free (which i think is illegal)

Death Note is win.
I wanted L to win up until the point when he died, from then on I supported Light, and it's all because Near is a fag.
Anyone read Death Note Another Note? It's a great book.

I think the series is rather weak. Death Note takes place in modern Japan, right? Well, in modern Japan, nobody, and I mean NOBODY, in the law enforcement and criminal investigation fields would believe for a second that the Killer has the magical ability to kill anyone, anywhere, anyhow, and anytime. That starts the show on a rotting base that cripples as soon as L dies. To make matters worse, he's replaced with children, children who ultimately prove better than L. It screams, "Fuck you, reader! The person you liked and wanted to win sucks ASS THROUGH A STRAW!!!" Finally, when the kid with dolls (N), is just about to lose, retarded Light has to screw everything up by proclaiming victory.... The whole series is practically a waste of time after episode 24.

While I thought the series was worth watching, I agree with this post 100%.
