Contra 4
« on: November 30, 2010, 05:25:51 PM »

Contra 4 is a return to form for the series and a sequel to the original Contra series. Konami released this game as part of its 20th anniversary celebration of the Contra franchise. WayForward Technologies was responsible for the development of the game and they have managed to recreate all of the Contra action as it is fondly remembered. One hit deaths, running and gunning, enemy evasion, side-scrolling, platforming, and the famous spread gun all make their respective returns. Most of these elements, apart from the spread gun, are part of the formula for the brutal difficulty for which the series is known.

I played the DS demo on the Nintendo Channel back in the day. Needless to say, my frequent deaths prevented me from buying the game >.>

This made me laugh.
"so if you die it's either your fault or you suck at playing Contra. "
I remember trying to play this a good 4 months ago. I only was able to get past the first level.

I have been playing this game a lot lately. The first level is practically burned into my brain. Contra was a series that was never fun for me until I bought Contra 4. I managed to complete the NES Contra at work one night lol. With the Konami code of course.
