Society can't be perfect, that's true, because there's no way everyone will agree. But that doesn't mean we can't try to make it better :P

Who cares about these words? Socialist? Communist? Capitalist? Why should we care? If people are suffering should we help them? If people are working hard and getting nothing, should we give them more? Maybe it just goes in a cycle. Who knows?

I feel like shoveling as much snow as possible for the good of the city now!

Perhaps the best idea would just be to exterminate our species. After all, we're destroying the natural planet, and are directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of species. If we were to weigh ourselves on the scale of life, we'd have done more harm during our time than good (by far). The only way to save the other creatures on this planet, as well as possible other sentient lifeforms, self extermination is the only way....

Don't think that way. It's a very, very negative way to think. I take a realistic approach. Yes, there are horrible things that our species does to the planet, but that doesn't mean that we are incapable of reversing it. I think it is becoming increasingly possible to reverse now that we have the (more green) Democrats in Congress. Also, did you know, many world powers are meeting at a Climate Change summit in Copenhagen this month? Progress is beginning to be expected. Don't resort to suicide just yet.

I don't plan on suicide, it just seems like it should be our last resort tactic.

Anyways, I kind of enjoyed the irony behind the Climate Conference in Copenhagen. Hundreds of people flying there in their oil-guzzling, uber-polluting private jets so that they can talk about bettering the environment. If I were America, I would just start spitting out as many windmills and nuclear fusion (not fission) plants to lower emissions.

Well, they do have to get there somehow. How else would you suppose they get there?

But I think the conference is a good idea. The US needs to sign something regarding greenhouse gases, and Obama might actually do that at Copenhagen.

If the US wants to remain the Global Power, it definitely need to hop on this alternative energy bandwagon. As for the travel, I suggest that Obama arrive there via a rebuilt version of the Mayflower, or via a fat-powered engine.

I heard the Copenhagen summit ended inconclusively. I think we should have another one, and end it conclusively -.-

And of course, by conclusively, we all mean to make the world greener. Cut emissions, strive for renewable fuel sources, construct vehicles with better mpg, and what not.

No. They have Socialist Healthcare.

I'm not sure about France, but the UK has more of a Monarchy.

You do know that the Queen virtually has no power.

The UK and France do have socialized medicine. As for the UK, it's officially a parliamentary, constituional monarchy, but the queen really doesn't have much of a say in anything.

So far, no nation has ever been truly Socialist. Many have adopted Socialist policies (UK, France, etc.) and many have claimed that they've had Socialism (USSR, China, DPRK, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, etc.), but no nation has actually had a revolution that led to the lack of social class, and the economic system of Socialism.

Yeah, that's why I said more of a Monarchy. I forgot what the actual term for their government is.

You know, Socialism isn't so bad. It just has a terrible rep after the Red Scare.

It's funny what 2 psychopaths (Stalin and Mao) and a trove of ignorant people (Senator McCarthy and the majority of modern Americans, plus everyone who firmly believes that the USSR and China are/were Socialist) can do to an idea.

Also, for any interested: infrequentlycommunist.blogspot.com
