Zelda Adventures Forum RP Battle Arena Rules Version 1.0
In order to make a battle just start a new topic in the form of a challenge, where you as your character challenge somebody else's character, it can be done either challenge someone specifically or just the first guy to pop up. The author of the challenge can also decide it to be a 2 vs 2 fight or any other layout you want, more than two people fighting in free for all is accepted.
You need to have a character in the Character Submission Board before entering the Battle Arena. Outsides can watch and comment, but don't interfere with the "battle sequence", that is up to the challengers.
Fighting:
[*]To fight you just write what your character does, you can write only one attack action per post (and ramble as long as you wish), an attack action can be a skill of consecutive hits, whatever you want.
[*]Every attack action needs to have a name an a description, name for it to look cool and description for us to know what the hell was that.
[*]If you edit your post it will be considered cheating and you will lose by default.
Rounds per Fight:
[*]Any fight in the Battle Arena can last from 3 to 10 rounds, the author will decide how many on the first post, a round is finished when all the involved members have posted (for example, if A is fighting B the first round ends when both A and B have posted once).
[*]Double posting makes you lose automatically (in case of more than 2 players, you have to wait until the next round to post again, you can't avoid the double posting rule by posting again after your ally does, you have to wait for your opponents to post).
[*]If your opponent (who already accepted the challenge) does not reply in 2 days he gets disqualified and you win by default (but if only 1 member of a 2 member party is disqualified the fight can continue, in obvious disadvantage though).
Judging:
[*]Since this battles are just posting that your character attacks and stuff like that, there is no HP to measure who wins, the guy who fought best wins, judging who fought best is the problem.
[*]The competitors themselves cannot declare themselves as victorious.
[*]You are declared victorious if one of the involved parties declares himself the loser (accepting the opponent fought better), then the opposing party wins, it works like giving up.
[*]You are declared victorious if the fighters cannot decide who was best, a poll will solve it, other members will vote who was the best (challengers can't vote). 3 votes make you win, so the first one to get 3 votes wins, all the votes after that are "off schedule".
[*]The fight is considered a tie if nobody gets 3 votes after 3 days and no one gives up.
The topic gets locked after declaring the winner.
I hope this works... critics about this setup will help a lot.
