How to Roleplay

Zelda Adventures Forum RP Rules Version 1.0
Roleplaying means to take the role of a character in a story, so once you have your character just start a story/quest opening a new topic on this board and other people can just "enter" by posting there.
So, by definition, in order to play you need to make a story or enter someone else's story, it doesn't works to be "standing idle" just talking like our characters over and over. Use the Shoutbox for that.
The author of the topic is considered the Dungeon Master for plot story effects inside his own topic, but everyone is authorized to post whatever they want to happen, to make it interactive. If the Dungeon Master decides he doesn't wants other people meddling with his plot story he will have to say so and it will be respected that only he can add important main plot story development stuff (we'll deal with that for each case if it happens), the rest can still post whatever they want that won't compromise the main plot. However, if the Dungeon Master does not posts in his own topic for 3 days, he will lose his position as Dungeon Master and then everyone can do as they please, tear apart the story, or request the topic to be locked.
Stories cannot go on forever, a story has to end in order to start a new one, so once it is decided that a story has ended the topic will have to be locked. If somebody is inspired to make a super long story go on, but you get the point, don't ramble forever.
If we have several topics opened at the same time that means different quests are ongoing at different locations at the same time, because we're so cool and have all our godly powers, we are capable of transporting from one quest to the other and break physics time/space laws, so you can post in as many quests as you want at the same time. It may be illogical, but I don't want to restrain people from playing, at least not until the amount of playing members is too high.
Make sure to point out anything you think is wrong and do tell if you want to add or change something.
