Yeah, this might seem like a really stupid question, but, depending on your original Zelda game, your opinion of his name may be different.

Since Wind Waker was my first game, and I didn't get around to playing earlier games till much later, I'm going with Ganondorf.

Here's the breakdown:

Ganon: Name used for monstrous final boss in OoT, among others.
Gannon: Name used in early Zelda games.
Ganondorf Dragmire: Name given in (I believe, but am not sure) the LttP manual.
Ganondorf: Name in most (if not all) of the Zelda games since OoT.

They are all correct, except for "Gannon", as that was a mistranslation.

What i don't get is that in ALttP they took out the Dragmire part in the game but not the manual?

Yeah, that's kind of weird.

Kind of like how in the Adventure of Link manual it talks about the wizard putting Zelda to sleep, but never says anything about it in the pre-file select menu (when the story text scrolls).
